EXPERIENCE I've been roleplaying on and off (mostly at GreatestJournal) since I was around fifteen, playing as many different characters in different games as I had the time and enthusiasm for. While I never found one character that I liked playing in more than two or three different games, I did enjoy the variety and the exercise in learning about as many characters as possible. I've been writing (fanfiction and otherwise) since I was twelve.

HISTORY Growing up in a moderately wealthy household with her pureblood parents and older sister, Charlotte wasn't raised in too awful of a situation. She lives in a sizable house in wizarding London, near Diagon Alley, when she is not at Hogwarts for the school year. Both of her parents work for the Ministry of Magic in the Department of International Magical Cooperation, but Charlotte never took much an interest in what they actually did there. While Charlotte gets along with her parents when necessary, she was always independent enough to do most things on her own without asking her mother and father for help.

She was much more concerned with following in her sister's footsteps. Even though the Baddock daughters are only a year apart, Charlotte spent her entire childhood imitating Jane's every move. At some point during her very early teen years, however, Charlotte's admiration for her older sister evolved into a bit of a rivalry. Instead of trying to out-perform her sister in grades or popularity, Charlotte wanted so badly to be her own person and break out from behind the shadow that Jane cast over her for so long. While she would never admit it out loud, Charlotte became much more outgoing because of her sister.

PERSONALITY Charlotte is a spunky, sarcastic flirt with an unexplainable need to snog people. Without even realizing it, she lets her magnetic and talkative personality bring people close enough to reach. Girls in houses other than Slytherin tend to view her as mean and bitter, but Charlotte simply just doesn't feel like wasting her time with people who treat her as such. For some reason, the other Slytherins tend to understand her and they often share her frustrations.

Charlotte also tends to hold in her sadness until she has intense emotional breakdowns. Pretending that she doesn't have real problems can build up pretty badly, but she would be too embarrassed to actually admit it when she is upset about something. She would be one of the Slytherins causing torrential downpours with her sudden outbursts of depression, which would make things quite interesting because she usually tries to hide them.

While most people would consider snogging to be something intimate and to be shared with a special someone, Charlotte sees it more as just a casual part of conversation. Because of this, she doesn't realize when or if someone has actually fallen for her. She has a minor fear of more intimate romantic contact, so she normally tries to end the makeout sessions before they get too out-of-hand. If anything, she can be really described as a tease. It would take someone more than just the average snog to push her past her kissing limit.

As far as school goes, Charlotte's marks are just good enough for her to stay in school. Schoolwork is just not her priority since she is primarily a social creature, but she has a certain interest for Defense Against the Dark Arts class. Since she normally has trouble focusing and concentrating, it takes something as fast-paced as DADA to keep her alert and interested. She also has trouble remembering names, even though she can't seem to forget even the worst of faces. Even though she is close to her last year at Hogwarts, she doesn't have much of an idea what to do as a career because it is not one of her concerns and she likes to take everything one step at a time.

SEXUALITY She is straight but she wouldn't be opposed to the occasional romp with a female for entertainment purposes. Charlotte finds herself snogging with nearly anyone who will get close enough to her, but she is a virgin. It would be an accomplishment for another character to get her past her making out phase, so there is a possible storyline there.

APPEARANCE A relatively average-sized girl, Charlotte isn't anything extraordinary when it comes to looks. She isn't strikingly beautiful, but she isn't terrible to look at either. Her mother always told her that she would be prettier if she smiled more often, but Charlotte's face often holds an annoyed scowl or a teasing smirk. Her hair is dark brown and straight, but she usually gives up trying to tame it. Charlotte enjoys keeping it constantly covering part of her pale face and she gets very agitated when people try to push or (Merlin forbid) clip her bangs out of her eyes.

Bloody hell; I just don't understand why people keep having this problem with me. Of course I don't remember your name... I know there was firewhiskey and I probably saw your face before there was definite snogging action, but when exactly did you introduce yourself by name? I'm sorry. Wear a nametag next time if it's that important to you, mate.

This is what I get for enjoying myself on the weekends.

Last week, I fell asleep twice in Care of Magical Creatures. The first time, Professor Whatshisname slammed on my desk with his wand. That only woke me up for about ten minutes, but as soon as he went back to lecturing, I'm pretty sure I was out cold again. The second time, some kind of flying insect that he brought in for a demonstration landed on my head and bit off a lock of my hair. I probably should have been awake to learn whatever that thing was called because people keep asking me about my "clever" haircut and the story is not quite as exciting without a real name for the blasted bug. I really do think my hair looks better this way.
